What: Coalition for Smarter Transportation Discussion on AV 3.0
When: Tuesday, November 13th 2:00 EDT
The US Department of Transportation released a document entitled USDOT Automated Vehicles 3.0. AV 3.0 expands the scope to all surface on-road transportation systems and was developed through the input from a diverse set of stakeholder engagements, throughout the nation. AV 3.0 is structured around three key areas:
- Advancing multi-modal safety,
- Reducing policy uncertainty, and
- Outlining a process for working with U.S. DOT
The U.S. DOT sees AV 3.0 as the beginning of a national discussion about the future of our on-road surface transportation system. The U.S. DOT is seeking public comments on the AV 3.0 (Federal Register Notice, DOT-OST-2018-0149 – Comment Period Closes on December 3, 3018),
The Coalition for Smarter Transportation will host a discussion on this event Tuesday, November 13th at 2:00 EDT.
